Around 3600 calories make 1 pound of weight. This means, if you want to lose 1 pound weight, you have to either burn 3600 calories or consume 3600 calories less.

Losing/gaining weight is a calorie game. So, make a list of calories count of the food items you consume frequently, and then plan your eating habit.

Now let’s come to how it happens. There are two ways to control calories.

(a) Eat food items that are low in calories

(b) work out.

I asked you to eat food items that are low in calories because- ‘prevention is always better than cure’. Then I recommended working out.

Now this term needs little elaboration. Jogging, cycling, rope skipping, crunches, squats, push ups, and sit ups are some exercises that can be performed at home, however if you want to do a full-fledged work out, better join a health club/gym.
